Einmal alles bitte – wir essen uns glücklichUna vez de todo – nos comemos contentosWe take everything – how we’re eating us happy

@ Schwesterherz: Würdest Du eigentlich “vegetarische” Rippchen essen?

After a month in Russia and another month in Mongolia Beijing is a real paradise concerning the food. You find a food-stand, restaurant or imbiss in each corner. And we are in the middle of it (starving). In case that the menue is written just in chinese characters, we just point at something and order whatever or we point at the meals the other people are eating. If that doesn’t work, we immitate the sounds of animals or point in our picture dicionaries.

After having a feast and beeing completely bewitched of all the nice food we wait for the recipt which ist mostly about 5 EUR including beverage and we can’t stop smiling. And smiling stupidly we’re walking again though the streets always watched by courious Chinese. After half an hour, when the feeling of: “I will never ever again be able to eat anything” has stopped, some new and tasty things are already tempting us again.

After three days in China we can say, that only for the incredible food it was already worth travelling here. But each day we are learning some more new sides of this country which makes it more and more interesting and beautyfull.:-)

Unfortunately the rain and the cold affected Natalia more, than we thought. Thats why she has a cold again and lying in bed, while I tried to get her some medicine from the pharmacy. As nobody could speak english there, I had to gesticulate like a fool. And now we’re both hoping, that I got some flue medicine an not something against epilepsy.

But don’t woory – Natalia won’t be able to remain a lot of time in bed because exotic Beijing ist waiting to be explored!
