Willkommen in KambodschaBienvenidos a CamboyaWelcome to Cambodia

Published by under Kambodscha

KAMBODSCHA – HERE WE ARE 🙂

Was richtig großartig ist: Es gibt hier VÖGEL!!

Borders, borders, borders – it´s like a time travel to the past. It´s not long ago, that there were borders in Europe, but we already have quite forgotten about it …

This border was nearly unspectacular – no crowd, no fight for the best position, no screams, no panic – just a few totally bored and lazy border officials. After waiting the usual 1 1/2 hours we were welcome by a smiling Cambodian who immediatly placed a thermometer on oure forehead. As he couldn´t find any symtoms of bird flue, we were allowed to enter his country!

KAMBODSCHA – HERE WE ARE 🙂

The first impression of country and people is very positiv. Even if it is obviously a poor country, the people seem to be much more relaxed than in Vietnam. They are very friendly and helpfull without asking immediatly for money.

After the last busy weeks Natalia found the perfect place for us. The small village KEP on the coast.

We´re sleeping in a very basic bungalow and enyoing the silence and the sounds of nature.
What is also fabulous about Cambodia: There are birds again!!!
Since Mongolia we havn´t seen any birds flying around aside from sparrows – not even sea gulls near the ocean!? Don´t have to say anything else about China and Vietnam not having any tabus concerning eating.

We´ll stay in this area for a few more days, and then we´ll see where we go next.
