We couldn´t say no! 
The last day of the water festival will have to take place without us. We are opening a new chapter of our world trip and travelled with our rented Tuk-Tuk to the north-east of Cambodia. We will explore this wonderfull country by our own in the next days and we hope to get to see the real life.

The most funny part so far are the faces of policemen and Tuk-Tuk-drivers. First they look bored, then confused and then they start to smile. Before they realy understand what they just saw, we drove already away. 
Fingers crossed that the Tuk-Tuk doesn´t break down in the next days!!!

ich moechte nun selbst nach soa und fragte mich, wie schwierig es wird sich ein tuk tuk zu kaufen? habt ihr empfehlungen und wieviel habt ihr ca. dafür lohnen müssen?
oder handelt es sich um ein gemietetes fuer 20$ am tag?

Hallo Basti,
ein tuk tuk kaufen sollte kein Problem sein, vorausgesetzt Du hast genug geld dabei. Ein gebrauchtes tuk tuk mit altem Moped sollte max 1000 Dollar kosten. Das Problem ist aber, dass Du damit nicht über Landesgrenzen kommst und die Registrierung auf Deinen Namen mehrere Wochen dauern kann. Ohne Registrierung geht auch … so kann dann auch die Polizei noch an Dir verdienen
Tuk Tuks sind nicht für bergige Regionen geeignet da die Mopedleistung zu schlecht ist. Einfach mieten und losfahren – so haben wir es gemacht. Viel Spaß schon mal …

Ja das Länderüberquerrungsproblem ist uns bekannt.
Hatte mich beim Lesen über “Tuk-Tuk Adventures GmbH & Co. KG Zweigstelle Kambodscha” gefreut und wollte einfach mehr wissen.
Mieten wird dann wohl die beste Alternative sein um ein wenig im Süden des Landes rumzugurken…
Dann habt ihr quasi auf “fremde Zulassung” euch das Tuk Tuk gemietet und ein bisschen der Polizei ihre Kleingeldkasse gefüllt?!
PS: Falls wir bei Mr. Pow landen sollte, dann grüßen wir ihn von Euch.
